Our policy at Beauchamp is to provide every pupil in the school with the opportunity to develop their ability to communicate effectively in French and to enjoy success at whatever level they can achieve. We aim to equip pupils with every day French, based on real life situations to awaken an interest in foreign cultures and life styles and to foster positive attitudes in this respect. Pupils are taught in class groups in Years 5 and 6 and currently with setting in Years 7 and 8.
French is used wherever possible as the means of communication within the classroom and beyond. We use a wide range of resources to develop listening, speaking, reading, writing, and ICT skills.
