Sportsmark Gold was first awarded to us in 1999.....and has just been awarded to us again for the third time in February 2006!!
Sportsmark/Sportsmark Gold are Sport Englands's quality accreditation programmes. They provide schools with a set of quality targets to ensure they deliver the highest standards of physical education and sports provision. Sportsmark rercognises and rewards schools that provide the very best PE and sports provision to their pupils and sports provision.
Sportsmark/Sportsmark Gold awards focus on all the following areas of physical education and sport provision.
- Time devoted to physical education and sport in the core curriculum
- Breadth and balance within the core curriculum programme
- Opportunities for students to develop their interests outside the core curriculum
- Planned development routes for talented performers
- Links with sports organisations and other schools
